• 15 Tools A Homeowner Should Own

So, you've got the keys, the mortgage, and a burning desire to "DIY" everything? Awesome! But before you start knocking down walls (please don’t!), let’s make sure you have the essentials.

This list is your starting lineup—think of it as the "Homeowner's Starter Pack."
Disclaimer: This list isn’t exhaustive. Feel free to chat with us about other handy tools you might need.

Plunger: Because a clogged toilet is a homeowner's worst nightmare. Keep one for the sink and one for the toilet!

Combination Wrench Set: It’s like having a universal translator for nuts and bolts. Get both standard and metric sizes, and remember: pull, don’t push!

Slip-Joint Pliers: The Swiss Army knife of gripping tools. Flat, curved, adjustable—it’s like they were designed by a committee of handymen!

Adjustable Wrench: Use with caution! These can be lifesavers when you need two wrenches of the same size, but close those jaws tight to avoid any bolt-mangling mishaps.

Caulking Gun: Seal the cracks and keep the critters out! Just make sure the area is clean and dry—unless you’re going for a modern art installation.

Flashlight: Essential for spotting problems (and solutions) in dark corners. A classic two-battery model should do the trick—no need to blind the neighbors!

Tape Measure: Because eyeballing it isn’t a measurement. 25 feet is the magic number. Measure twice, cut once!

Hacksaw: For cutting metal like a pro! Blades are replaceable, so invest in a good frame and start slicing through those pipes (carefully!).

Torpedo Level: Is that shelf straight? This tool will answer that question. The bubble must be exactly in the middle!

Safety Glasses / Goggles: Because your eyes are precious! Wear them when hammering, using power tools, or mixing questionable chemicals.

Claw Hammer: The OG of home improvement! Driving nails, removing nails, general demolition—a 16-ounce hammer is your best friend.

Screwdriver Set: Flathead and Phillips-head, big and small. Manual is better, unless you enjoy stripping screws and cursing the heavens!

Wire Cutters: For wires and small nails, but not for cutting corners. "Side-cutting" is the way to go!

Respirator / Safety Mask: Protect your lungs from toxic fumes and dust. Disposable masks are fine, but respirators are for the serious DIY-ers.

Duct Tape: The force is strong with this one! Water-resistant, super sticky, and capable of fixing almost anything... temporarily.

There you have it! With these 15 tools, you’re ready to tackle almost any minor home repair.
Now go forth and fix things, and remember, when in doubt, call a professional!
