• What’s the Deal with Crawlspaces?

Alright, let’s talk about the part of your home that nobody really wants to talk about: the crawlspace.

If you’ve got one, you probably don’t think about it much. Honestly, most people would rather forget it exists. It’s dark, kind of spooky, and usually full of spiders. But guess what? That space under your home might be one of the most important parts of the whole house. Yup. For real.

    Why crawlspaces matter:

Crawlspaces can hold the key to a bunch of hidden problems. We’re talking:

    • Moisture issues (especially here in rainy BC!)
    • Mold growth
    • Pests (mice, ants, or worse...)
    • Rotting wood
    • Even foundation cracks

And the worst part? You probably wouldn’t know any of that is happening unless someone actually crawls in there and checks it out.

(That’s what we do. And no, it’s not glamorous. But it’s kind of our thing.)

If you’re not into crawling under your house (totally fair), just keep an eye out for:

    • Musty smells
    • Floors that feel bouncy or saggy
    • High humidity indoors
    • Sudden bug problems

If any of those pop up, your crawlspace might be trying to tell you something.

So next time you’re walking around your house, give a little nod to that spooky space under your feet. It’s doing more work than you think.
