• WHEN PRIOR WORK/UPDATES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED ON THE HOME

Sometimes we notice prior renovations or upgrades that were completed at the property we are inspecting. Here are questions to ask if you suspect reno's were done.
    1. Who did the work? We advise asking the owner if work was completed by qualified or licensed contractors.
    2. Were permits granted for the work? Obtaining permits for renovations ensures that the work being done complies with local building codes and regulations.
    3. Is it up to local building codes and was the work inspected by the municipality? These codes are in place to guarantee the safety and structural integrity of the construction completed.  Having permits in place assures work was approved by relevant authorities, reducing the risk of hidden issues.
